Listed here are some general resources to address mental health and wellness in our community, ranging from therapy services to family training programs and opportunities to be involved in community improvement initiatives.

Occupational Therapy
through Newberry Health Stepping Stones Pediatric Therapy
A team of therapists working together to provide direct, one-on-one, individualized services and intervention to assist in the promotion and prevention of mental health issues in children. We serve children from birth-18 years of age using a holistic approach to address mental health.

To make a referral you will need an order from your child's doctor.

Triple P- Positive Parenting Program through Newberry County First Steps
A parent and family support system designed to prevent and treat behavioral and emotional problems in children. 8-week program that can serve multiple families, serving English and Hispanic families with at least one child aged 0-5 years.

Innovation Counseling Services
Utilizing a modern approach to address mental health, Innovation's focus is to establish a supportive relationship and help clients build the skills they need to face obstacles in a healthy way.

Newberry County School District
If you are a parent, teacher, or support staff in the schools and have concerns about a student reach out to your school counselor who can then refer to a mental health counselor as needed. The schools are currently partnering with different companies to address mental health.

Strengthening Families Program through
Children’s Trust of SC
A program designed to help families develop positive discipline practices, stay resilient in tough times, reduce conflict, improve parenting skills, and assist children with social skills, relationships, and school performance. Serves English and Hispanic families with children ages 7 to 17 through local partners.
